Man Burns Himself To Death Inside Busy Public Park – Calls It A ‘Suicide Protest’

60yr old David Buckel, a Senior Organics Recovery Coordinator with the New York City Compost Project, was pronounced dead on scene after he set himself on fire inside of Prospect Park near Prospect Park South West at 10th Avenue in Brooklyn.

According to a hand written and signed suicide letter and a statement typed on green paper, which he left inside of a brown envelope marked with the words “For The Police”, David Buckel indicated that he killed himself as a ‘Suicide Protest’ on the use of fossil fuels and how we, as human beings, treat the Earth. Ironically, David admits in his Statement to using fossil fuel to set himself on fire.
