Cops responding to a call of an unconscious male outside a building on Bronx Boulevard near East 224th Street in the Bronx on Monday found an unconscious, unresponsive man with a stab wound to his chest.
According to authorities, the 52yr old man was stabbed during a physical altercation with another man. He was rushed to Montefiore Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. Cops recovered a large knife in a grassy area near the scene, but it is not clear if this is the murder weapon.
Authorities have not released the identity of the victim at this time, pending notifications to family members. No arrests have been made as of Tuesday morning.
An unidentified woman walking eastbound on East 138th Street and crossing Willis Avenue in the Bronx using the northern crosswalk was mowed down and killed by a man driving a New York City Department of Sanitation Salt Spreader early this morning.
According to sources, the 32yr old driver of the truck was also heading eastbound on East 138th Street and turning left to head north on Willis Avenue when he ran down the woman in the crosswalk. The driver then fled the scene.
As of 3:00PM today, there was no word from Authorities as to whether any charges were preferred against the driver. The Investigation continues.
62yr old Yun Ko, a school bus driver who was on his way to work for the Consolidated Bus Transit Company, was found lying face down in the roadway unconscious and unresponsive with severe trauma to his body at about 6:00AM at the intersection of Zerega Avenue and Randall Avenue, just a stones’ throw away from his bus depot on Zerega Avenue in the Bronx on Tuesday September 25th, 2018.
Responding medics rushed Yun, who lives in Queens, to Montefiore Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Police say his injuries are consistent with being struck by a vehicle, which did not remain at the scene, making his death a criminal act.

37yr old James Currie, who reportedly works with the Metropolitan Transportation Authority as a Station Cleaner, was taken from the 5th Precinct in Manhattan on Friday to face a Manhattan Judge on charges of Concealment of a Human Corpse.
The corpse in question was seven month old baby boy Mason Saldana, the son of James Currie, who was spotted floating in the East River along with a backpack underneath the Brooklyn Bridge on the Manhattan side on the afternoon of Sunday August 5, 2018.

Investigators strongly believe that Currie, who lives in the Bronx, killed the boy sometime during the period of Saturday August 4 to Sunday August 5, when he was spotted on surveillance video leaving his apartment building with the backpack attached to his front and covered with a blanket.
Investigators were able to track his movements into lower Manhattan, where he was again spotted on surveillance video walking along the East River Esplanade with the backpack, not far from where his son was eventually found.

Currie then boarded a flight out of JFK Airport on the afternoon of Monday August 6, beginning a long journey – and what he thought was his escape – to the Country of Thailand. Unfortunately for him, with NYPD Detectives in ‘full court press’ mode, his plan was uncovered and Thai Authorities, who were put on alert, waited patiently for him to arrive in the Country.
James Currie was snatched from the doors of freedom upon his arrival in Thailand and promptly brought back to New York to answer some tough questions. Detectives are still gathering evidence and are not yet in a position to charge Currie with the actual murder of his son. The Medical Examiner is working to determine the official cause of death.
