Man Killed In Queens Hit and Run

A 56yr old man crossing Woodhaven Boulevard at 91st Avenue in Queens was struck by a vehicle traveling in the southbound lanes.

The driver that struck the man then fled the scene. The battered body of the man lay dead on the roadway, some distance from where a pair of khaki colored pants, a black shoe, a black glove and a black backpack can be seen on the ground.

Investigators scoured the area for witnesses and surveillance video in their efforts to piece together what actually happened and to get a lead on the driver or drivers responsible.

As of 9:40AM, A NYPD Spokesperson stated that no one has been arrested and the Investigation is ongoing.

Sanitation Truck Kills Bronx Woman – Flees Scene

An unidentified woman walking eastbound on East 138th Street and crossing Willis Avenue in the Bronx using the northern crosswalk was mowed down and killed by a man driving a New York City Department of Sanitation Salt Spreader early this morning.

According to sources, the 32yr old driver of the truck was also heading eastbound on East 138th Street and turning left to head north on Willis Avenue when he ran down the woman in the crosswalk. The driver then fled the scene.

As of 3:00PM today, there was no word from Authorities as to whether any charges were preferred against the driver. The Investigation continues.

Bus Driver On Way To Work Mowed Down In Hit and Run

62yr old Yun Ko, a school bus driver who was on his way to work for the Consolidated Bus Transit Company, was found lying face down in the roadway unconscious and unresponsive with severe trauma to his body at about 6:00AM at the intersection of Zerega Avenue and Randall Avenue, just a stones’ throw away from his bus depot on Zerega Avenue in the Bronx on Tuesday September 25th, 2018.

Responding medics rushed Yun, who lives in Queens, to Montefiore Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Police say his injuries are consistent with being struck by a vehicle, which did not remain at the scene, making his death a criminal act.

A female bus driver, who watched as Investigators worked the scene, confirmed she knew the deceased and they both worked as Bus Drivers for Consolidated Bus Transit. “He was a very good driver” she said before getting emotional and walking away, declining to give her name.

Authorities said no one has been arrested at this time and the NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad continues to work the case. Anyone with information regarding this incident are encouraged to call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1-800-577-TIPS( 8477).

City Sanitation Truck Leaves Scene After Crushing Bicyclist

A 25yr old woman riding her bicycle northbound on Evergreen Avenue near Menahan Street in the bicycle lane was struck by a garbage truck owned by the Sanitation Department of New York just after 9:00PM Wednesday night in Brooklyn.

According to witnesses the truck, which was also traveling north on Evergreen Avenue, then kept on going, leaving the woman crumpled in the street. “Her right arm was practically torn off” “She was not moving”, said one witness who declined to give his name.

The woman was rushed to Brookdale Hospital in critical condition. Police Officers tracked the garbage truck to a Sanitation Depot almost two miles away on Varick Avenue and Meserole Street where, according to the NYPD, two people were taken into custody for questioning.

There are no arrests and no charges filed at this time, according to the NYPD. The Investigation is ongoing.

Man mowed down crossing Brooklyn Street

A 32yr old man trying to cross Willmohr Street at East 94th Street in Brooklyn was mowed down by a driver who then fled the scene at about 11:00AM on Tuesday February 13th, 2018. The victim was rushed to Brookdale Hospital in critical condition with head trauma and leg injuries.
