Former New York State Assembly Member Pamela Harris is seen leaving the Federal Courthouse in Brooklyn on Tuesday. The 57yr old former Lawmaker appeared before United States Magistrate Judge Robert M. Levy, where she plead Guilty to Two Counts of Wire Fraud, One Count of Making False Statements to the Federal Emergency Management Administration and One Count of Witness Tampering.

Pamelas’ schemes netted her tens of thousands of dollars from Government and City Agencies that she was not entitled to. In one instance, Pamela brazenly – and falsely – claimed to FEMA that she was forced out of her Coney Island home in Brooklyn due to damage done by Hurricane Sandy. That claim netted her almost $25,000.
As part of her Guilty Plea, Pamela was forced to admit that she pressured witnesses to lie to the FBI, when Agents were conducting a Grand Jury Investigation into her fraudulent schemes. Upon Sentencing, Pamela faces up to 30 years imprisonment for the false statements she made to FEMA, as well as up to 20 years for each of the Wire Fraud and Witness Tampering charges.
