Woman Found Dead In Erie Basin

Officers with the NYPD Harbor Unit removed a woman from the waters of the Erie Basin in the Red Hook area of Brooklyn on Tuesday July 16.

Cops brought the fully clothed but unidentified woman to the pier behind 499 Van Brunt Street, where EMS crews pronounced her deceased.

The NYPD has launched an Investigation and the Medical Examiner will determine the official cause of death.
