22yr old Marcellus Shields and 23yr old Antoine Folkes, both from Queens, were pronounced dead on scene after they were shot multiple times on a quiet Queens Street Monday night.
According to authorities, one man was in the drivers’ seat and the other man in the front passenger seat of a silver Kia Soul SUV parked outside of a house on 255th Street in the Rosedale section of Queens, when a white SUV occupied by two or three men pulled up and opened fire.
Both men were shot multiple times and died where they sat, with one slumped backward and the other man, seen wearing a blue t-shirt, slumped forward. The shooters then made a quick, and so far clean, getaway.
Authorities are not releasing much information at this point in the Investigation and are looking into several scenarios, including the possibility of gang involvement. Police are now hunting for the killers.
Police responding to a 911 call early this morning of a man shot found an eighteen year old with gunshot wounds to the head, chest and legs sprawled out on the sidewalk in front of 145-04 176th Street in the Springfield Gardens section of Queens.
The victim, Angel Nixon, was rushed by medics to Jamaica Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries several hours later.
According to authorities Angel, who lived less than a mile away from the scene, got into an argument with another man before he was shot. The shooter fled the scene and is currently being sought by Cops.
A man was pronounced dead at a Hospital Monday night after he opened fire on Cops who came to his hotel room in Westchester, New York.
According to witnesses, the man, accompanied by a woman, was staying inside room number 30 at the Ardsley Acres Hotel Court at 560 Saw Mill River Road when all hell broke loose.
A gun battle ensued with multiple rounds fired by the man at the Cops, with Police, some of whom were inside a City of Yonkers Police Emergency Services Unit armored truck, returning fire.
The fierceness of the gun battle was evident on Tuesday morning, with dozens of shell casings marked by evidence cones visible on the ground and atop the armored truck. A hinged circular shaped protective shield on top of the armored truck was seen to have several impact marks from bullets. Also visible were several bullet holes in the brick façade of the Hotel and a shattered window.
At least one Officer was taken to a Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg. Numerous FBI Agents were observed processing the scene and collecting evidence on Tuesday morning. The Investigation remains ongoing.
Two men, reportedly wearing ski masks, went to a fifth floor apartment at 219 Kingsborough 2nd Walk near Rochester Avenue in Brooklyn on Sunday at about 1:30pm. There, some type of altercation ensued with residents of the apartment, resulting in a 43yr old man, who was inside the apartment, being shot twice by the masked men.
Responding medics were seen performing CPR on the victim, who had blood visible on his forehead, as they rushed him out of the building to nearby Interfaith Hospital. Unfortunately, he could not be saved.
Family and friends of the victim were seen crying outside of the building, as they were being guided into Police cars at the scene while the FDNY Ambulance tore away down the street, presumably to be taken to the hospital to be with their loved one.
The two attackers escaped on foot and were last seen running down Pacific Street. As of 4:30pm today, Authorities were not able to say whether any arrests were made nor was the identity of the victim released.
The brazen early afternoon Homicide followed two other shootings in the borough. At about 4:30am, a 28yr old man was taken to Woodhull Hospital by private means after he was shot in the leg in front of a Mural featuring Harriet Tubmam and other notable African Americans on Herkimer Street, just a few feet away from Nostrand Avenue. He was listed in stable condition. Then at about 6:20am, a 27yr old man was taken to the hospital after he was shot outside of Delroy’s Jamaica Bar and Lounge at 14 Duryea Place. He was also listed in stable condition.
